Dropoff Client Spotlight: DFW Placenta of Dallas

For DFW Placenta, their goal is to provide families with quality placenta encapsulation and other add-on services, like tinctures, smoothie drops, and salve, to help make for a happier postpartum experience.

When DFW Placenta launched a little over a year ago, little did they know how fast business would grow. They went from having six orders scheduled a month, to six in a single day. What this meant for co-owners, Maryn Taylor and Maria Pokluda, was more time on the road picking up and delivering placenta pills to clients, and less time focusing on their core competencies.

When they began their search for a Dallas courier service, it was overwhelming. “I was sure that this was something for companies much bigger than we were and much more complex than we could reasonably manage. I started getting quotes and bids and complex sheets full of pricing data. I kept hemming and hawing over making a decision because it seemed really difficult,” Maryn explains.

Finally, she discovered Dropoff and loved the fact that all of our drivers are background-checked, insured, and HIPAA compliant. The online-ordering, simple pricing structure, live-map tracking and signature verification didn’t hurt either.

Maryn says, “For Maria and me, Dropoff just makes sense. There’s always a courier in uniform and ready to go, regardless of the hour.  When the courier arrives at the hospital, they call to let the family know they’ve arrived, they get the packaged placenta, and have someone sign at the time of the pickup. (And, let’s be frank: using a courier service lets us spend more time with our families! Instead of spending countless hours in the car, we’re at soccer games and band competitions and piano recitals – or just sitting on the couch, hanging out with our kids. I can’t tell you how many times we get calls during an activity that’s really important to one of our kids and instead of leaving, we’re able to send our courier service.)”

Using Dropoff has helped DFW Placenta expand their business. In fact, within their first year they have helped over 250 families ease into a happy postpartum with placenta encapsulation. That’s nearly 2x the goal that Maryn and Maria set for their first year in business.

DFW Placenta serves families in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Keller, Grapevine, Plano, Frisco, Lewisville, North Dallas, McKinney, Denton, Corinth, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Allen, Arlington, Coppell, Irving, Highland Park, Highland Village, Weatherford, Aledo, Granbury, Willow Park, Mansfield, Argyle, and beyond.
