How Dropoff and Austin Charity Helped Local Refugees

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Dropoff is partnering with Refugee Services of Texas to collect and deliver more than a thousand diapers to refugee families living in the Austin area.

According to Refugee Services of Texas (RST), 2,677 refugees settled across the state of Texas between October and March of this year. The social organization helps these families adapt and thrive in their new communities and we’re humbled to work with this group to help make their transition easier.

A little bit more about Refugee Services of Texas: Founded in 1978, Refugee Services of Texas is a social service agency dedicated to providing services to refugees and other displaced persons fleeing persecution based on race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, and/or political opinion and also to the communities that welcome them. Through the agency’s home office in Dallas, RST provides services to hundreds of refugees, asylees, survivors of human trafficking and related vulnerable populations from over thirty different countries of origin each year via service centers located in Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston
