For those who are unfamiliar with us, Dropoff is an on-demand, same-day delivery and logistics solution for business. Our story began with a far from perfect delivery experience I had with a local courier service. There was no easy to use website, no transparent pricing, no real-time package tracking, no confirmations, and a sub par customer experience. I knew there had to be a better way. That’s when I joined forces with my co-founders, and we created Dropoff. In May 2014 we raised $1.85 million in seed funding and, in November of that year, officially launched in Austin. In June 2015 we raised $7 million in Series A funding and since then have launched in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. Today, our team is composed of engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams, as well as independent contractor drivers (or, as we call them, Agents).
